Emelia Osei is a Certified Human Resource Practitioner (CIHRMP) and a member of the Institute of Human Resource Management Practitioners, Ghana. She holds an MBA in General Management and a Bachelor of Management Studies from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. She also holds a Higher National Diploma in Secretaryship and Management Studies from Cape Coast Polytechnic, Ghana.
She has over 18 years of experience in Human Resource and Project Management, having worked with organizations such as AngloGold Ashanti Ltd. (Obuasi Mines), Premium Foods Company Ltd. (Ejisu-Kwaso), and Kumasi City Markets Ltd. (New Kejetia Market), Kumasi. Her areas of expertise include Human Resource Development, Legal Aspect in Human Resource Management, Recruitment and Selection, and Industrial Relations.
Since October 2019, Emelia has served as the Head of Human Resource and Administration at Kumasi City Markets Ltd.
She is passionate about developing and implementing best-practice HR systems and procedures. Emelia is a highly skilled and engaging trainer—creative, quick to learn, diligent, disciplined, and adaptable, with strong organizational and communication skills. She has consistently demonstrated her ability to lead and support teams and has been at the forefront of several key HR initiatives.
In addition to her professional work, Emelia has lectured at the CIHRMP Kumasi Chapter since July 2015 and also lectured at Christ Apostolic University, Kwadaso-Kumasi, for nearly three years.
She has provided consulting services to numerous companies on HR-specific matters, including establishing HR departments for both new and existing organizations, recruiting staff, and advising on daily HR operations. Some of the companies she has supported include:
